June 21-23, 2018 we created 541 sq m of new transplanted eelgrass area in the Bowser Lagoons (archaeological site DiSe-40) in 3 expansion plots in Lagoon 4 and in Lagoon 2, in 2 recovery areas where eelgrass loss recently occurred. Support was generously provided by UB Diving, K'omoks First Nation, Comox Valley area residents and North Island College students.
